On 13 August, Gothaer Stadtwerke ENERGIE officially commissioned its new innovative CHP plant at the heat station in Gotha-Siebleben – an important step towards a climate-neutral heat supply, which we were pleased to support. The innovative combination of a combined heat and power plant, heat pump and power-to-heat technology enables more efficient use of renewable energy.
The modern system will reduce gas consumption and cut CO₂ emissions by around 230 tonnes each year. Around 400 households will benefit and be supplied with climate-friendly heat in the future.
As part of the iKWK tender, we supplied and installed the heat pump, complemented by a 1.2 MW power-to-heat system.
By delivering this project, we are continuing to strengthen our expertise in the product areas of heat pumps and power-to-heat systems.
