This week the five large heat pumps for the thermal power plant 'Helmshäger Berg' in Greifswald have been delivered. So all major components for the innovative combinded heat and power system (iCHP) are now on site.
The highly efficient 4.5 MW CHP plant had already been installed in April.

The iCHP system is part of the second expansion stage of the Greifswald municipal utility's ambitious heating strategy. The new SES-HPC 4500 N combined heat and power plant, which is combined with the large heat pumps, will replace two existing gas turbines and thus increase heating efficiency in the future.
